Health and Safety

Cruden Homestyle places health and safety at the top of our operational priority list.

Achievement of the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System underlines the rigorous, procedural approach to health and safety planning, implementation, monitoring and performance review.

David Ballard, Chief Executive of the British Safety council said "Through achieving an International Safety Award the Cruden Group is helping make our vision of a safe working environment a reality"

With more than 500 annual man training days centered on safety management and procedures, risk assessment and inductions carried out on all staff, we are determined to maintain a high profile of safety awareness. Our accident/incident rate stands at less than 50% of the national average and our ultimate goal is accident free sites.

We strive for 100% of our operatives and supervisory management to be Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registered and qualified under the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health's Basic Health & Safety Certificate. Site Managers hold the Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate.

All personnel in a managerial, supervisory or planning role have received training under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007.
